It’s a cool morning in the Colorado Rockies and the river looks perfect for fly fishing. The Wounded Warrior group arrives at 9:00 and the guides are prepared. It will be one on one so that everyone will get expert instruction. The vets are given their rods and waders, and it’s off to the river. Within minutes there are hookups with some big trout.

For many it is their first time fly fishing and they are having a great time. It is more than just fishing, it is about healing and some peace in their life. We fish all morning and then head up to the lodge for a gourmet lunch of gumbo, great desserts and fish stories. Lincoln Hills presented all 9 Wounded Warriors with fly rods and reels to take home. They have had a great day.
