Valhalla Hunt Club with Craig Hospital
It’s a warm winter day in Bennett, Colorado. The Craig Hospital bus arrives at Valhalla Hunt Club at 11;00 with some experienced bird hunters. We head to the trap range to get a little tune up in and get familiary with the track chairs which we will be using after lunch for the pheasant hunt. The shooters are knocking down the clays and are having a good time, even the staff joins in. At 12;30 we head down to the club house for lunch and some pre-hunt chatter.
Lunch is over, the dogs are ready, along with everyone else. We head up to the fields. The dogs go on point and the hunters start shooting, pheasants are falling. All four hunters will be going home with pheasant meat for the table.
It’s been a great day!
