It is a warm November day in Colorado, and we are at Coldweather Outfitters for a duck hunt with some Wounded Vets and Craig Hospital patients. We get everyone situated in the blinds that surround the ponds. Then we sit and wait patiently for the ducks to arrive with the help of an occasional duck call. The first few flocks are up there with the jets, so again we wait. They start to head in to the decoys and the hunters begin to shoot. Everyone is having a great time and thankful to be outside and to have the opportunity for the hunt. It is now 12:00 and we head to the lodge for some homemade chili and garlic bread, and the stories begin.
