Coldweather Outfitters - Wounded Vets Geese HuntColdweather Outfitters
Firestone, Colorado

It’s Saturday morning and a relatively warm day for December in Colorado. Wounded Vets and Volunteers are up before the sun. We meet at the Lodge and break up into groups with the guides and move out to the blinds. There are hundreds of geese on a nearby pond, once they take to the sky, everyone starts blowing their calls but they are too high up in the sky to shoot. Eventually some come down lower and we get to shoot a few but that’s only half of why we are here, it is a Thank You to the wounded Vets and their service to the country. It’s been a good morning and we head to the Lodge for lunch and stories.
